The Blond String Quartet
The Blond String Quartet was formed in 2001 as an innovative ensemble to
perform music outside of the standard string
quartet repertoire. The Quartet has had many arrangements specifically
written for them. They enjoy playing music from different idioms, including
pop,rock,jazz and easy listening as well as standard classical
music pieces. Blond has performed at embassies,
corporate events, weddings and festivals as well as having the resident
string quartet at The Ritz Hotel, London.
All the players have classical music Manchester
college background and have worked professionally
in orchestras, including The London Symphony Orchestra, The royal
Philharmonic and the BBC Philharmonic. Members of the quartet have played in
Chicago, the West End Show. They have also worked with artists such as Elton
John and Boy zone.

Peter’s
first love has always been jazz. Featuring piano & vocals with his small
group, the PRJQ brings an elegantacoustic backdrop to intimate gatherings.
Bringing a wealth of musical repertoire to every show, Peter plays to the
best of several musical tastes with a smooth and easy style. When he begins
to sing, his voice has warmth that draws you in for a closer listen. Styles:
Jazz, Latin, Light R&B and Soul, seasonal favorites, original music, and

Julie Rendell mezzo-soprano - Under the direction of
Barbara Robotham, Julie trained at the Royal Northern College of Music in
Manchester until July 2003. Since then she has broadened her musical
horizons, working with not only classical musicians, but in the genres of
jazz, gospel and soul. Her work ranges from song-writing and arranging to
studio session work, directing choirs and musicals, to teaching, as well as
performing and recording her own material.
Charlotte Wilson piano - Charlotte is a professional
pianist, performing as a solo artist, an accompanist and chamber musician.
She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under
Kathryn Stott and Carole Presland and before that, with Simon Bottomley at
Chetham's School of Music.

Andy Law – Pianist
A very fine piano player, with over 20 year’s classical
musical experience.
He's had a wide and varied classical music
Manchester career, having held position in QE2 big
band for a number of years, and backing International Cabaret; such as Neil Sedaka, Petula Clarke and Iris Williams. On the same ship, he was the
cocktail piano player in the 'Chart Room'. Later, he was chosen to perform
on the Oriana World Cruise, with his own trio.
Currently residing in North Wales, he is available to play for your Wedding
Reception, Civil Marriage, or Civil Partnership. (Ceremony)
His talent covers a variety of styles; from light classics, to standards and
jazz.
You can be confident in booking Andy Law for any event, as his music will
add a sparkle to any occasion.
Many people choose to have piano music at their reception; it creates a
wonderful backdrop to that special occasion.
Andy has an ever growing list of Tunes in his repertoire which is romantic
and relaxing. If the couple have any particular tunes that are special to
them, then of course they will be included by request. Furthermore if a
particular artiste is a favourite then he will feature tunes from that
particular artiste. Otherwise just leave it to Andy to play continuous
melodies while you enjoy your special day.

Peter has 40 years experience playing the pipes at a professional standard
and performing classical music Manchester.
He is extremely versatile and can play in a wide variety of music styles,
from his extensive repertoire.
He has a choice of uniforms to wear, which will compliment the bridal party,
including full highland dress, formal wear and day wear.

Mike Sax - Saxophonist

Mike Sax has an extensive repertoire from jazz standards to motown classics
and pop hits. Most recently he has toured with The Muffin Men, Supercharge
and Sam Brown and the Blues Brothers playing across the globe. Whilst he is
not touring or in the studio recording he works at a lot of corporate events
ideal for wedding receptions with his laid back no intrusive style, he can
perform as a solo artiste using his own a complement backing or with a 2,3,4
piece band.
Two's Company
Two's Company are Amy Lammin and Rob Chalmers. Amy studied the violin at
Leeds University, achieving a BA(hons) in music in 1997. Since then, she has
been working for Wirral Education Authority, as a peripatetic violin
teacher, and as a music teacher at Wirral Grammar School for Girls.
Amy is an experienced performer in a variety of musical genres. Having been
in numerous string quartets over the years, she now regularly plays first
violin in the ‘Astbury Quartet’ at venues all over the North West. She plays
electric violin in an Irish band - 'The Shambolix', and also in a rock and
pop band - 'The Gambinos' - with whom she also sings. Amy is a vocalist and
violinist in the local girl duo, Vixen and sings with the 10-piece disco
party outfit 'The Groovy Wonderband'.
Rob has years of experience playing the guitar in many different styles
including folk, pop, soul and jazz. He had a spell with the Manchester
University Jazz Orchestra and has played in many shows, including "Fame" at
the Dancehouse Theatre Manchester. Rob has appeared at the Chester music
festival with up-tempo folk act ‘Yer man and his Mates’ and at the Edinburgh
Fringe Festival with a contemporary rock/pop group. Rob also performs with
The Groovy Wonderband. Rob attended the Music department at York University
where he qualified in 2002 with an MSc in Music Technology. Skills learnt
here allow Rob to work as a sound engineer both at live events and in a
recording studio.
After working together on various musical projects, Amy and Rob first teamed
up as ‘Two’s Company’ in 1999 to perform instrumental and vocal pieces. We
perform approximately 40 times a year as Two's Company both at private
engagements and public concerts and have recently performed live on Radio
Merseyside.
Llinos Dewi- Harpist
Elegant harp music for weddings, receptions, dinners and other special
occasions. Classical music Manchester, contemporary pop and
Celtic music is performed on an antique gold harp by area harpist Deborah
Nyack who was trained in New York and London, England. CD demo available on
request.

Professional trumpeter Ken Laing will add that special touch that makes your
wedding service a memorable occasion for you and your guests. Also available
