Stephen Bayliss by Big Entertainments
Stephen Bayliss began to write songs back in 1989 and also formed a band with two of his friends that collectively became known as "Watch this space". Whilst in this band Stephen Bayliss wrote well over 30 songs, all of which with a soul or pop feel to them and all of which were original. These songs gained him much critical acclaim and eventually this became the stepping stone to dictate and influence his musical style and build his unique performance.
In 1992, he was fortunate enough to be hand selected by Sir Cliff Richard to help form part of his backing group to provide vocals for his up coming "Access All Areas" tour. This enabled Stephen to gain invaluable experience and allowed him to perform in front of massive crowds and audiences mostly topping the 10,000 mark. Once the Sir Cliff tour had ended, he then formed another band called "Hothead" with three other highly talented musicians.
Hothead decided to incorporate his musical influences and a new edge was added to the group with Simon Iredale also song writing and on guitar, then there was Andrew Pickervance on the drums and David Brindley providing the bass. With Stephen's blissful and heavenly voice leading the way, Hothead wrote a compilation of over 50 songs and toured throughout the whole of the United Kingdom and even had the privilege of heading some of the UK's biggest venue's and even performed at the much acclaimed "Party in the Park".
Since the break up of Hothead in 1996, he has become one of the UK's most successful performers and regularly performs to a sell-out crowd at his gigs. Stephen is always a guaranteed hit with the crowd by performing both original and Motown covers, and has also appeared and featured on several TV programmes showcasing his talents.
